FOTD: Dream

My makeup habits have changed so much since becoming pregnant and summer break. Most days, I go out bare faced with both kids in tow, looking for iced coffee and snacks. Some days, I throw on a very fast neutral look, because we're doing something with family. Then, there are some days that I get to do the damn thing. This was one of those days. I didn't feel like doing my hair in the full face photo and my husband was doing weird dances in front of me while I was trying to take pictures, but I still wanted you to see the full look.

FOTD: Geek Chic Magical Mycology

I decided to show some of my indie collection some love today. I recently bought the Magical Mycology set from Geek Chic, and it's been screaming at me to use it. The colors are gorgeous, and the packaging is the cutest. It's been a busy, overwhelming, wonderful summer of spending time with my kids so, I've definitely been in a makeup rut. It's definitely nice to do something creative sometimes instead of just my get out the door face.

FOTD: Pride 2018

I LOVE that my birthday month is also Pride month. This look was heavily inspired by @pinkishpiendel I really love how she placed her color, and her lower lash line is what rainbow wet dreams are made of. Also, don't pay attention to how pitiful my lashes look in this photo. They looked better in real life.

This has been the look I go for lately when I actually put forth the effort to do my face. I'm trying to focus on getting some use out of my makeup and not bouncing around quite so much from product to product. Mostly because it saves on time, but it also helps me get through some of the things I have. 

Also, I'm well aware of Kat Von D's recent spewing of ignorance regarding vaccines. While I don't agree AT ALL with what she said, I have invested a lot of money into her products, and I don't plan to get rid of them. I've yet to decide how I feel about featuring her products here, and I took these photos well before she declared her stance.

I'm almost 7 months pregnant, summer break started this passed week, and my daughter's arm is in a cast, which means no pool. So. Much. Screaming. I needed some glitter today, and we had my daughter's 3rd birthday party so, perfect occasion. I did a huge purge and organized my makeup collection since I've had some down time between opening toy packages and cross stitching, and it made me so excited about makeup again. I have really decreased my makeup purchases since I stopped YouTube, but I think this year I want to purchase even less and see how many things I can use up/hit pan on. I decided to give my Metal Matte palette some love today as I drink apple cider and refuse to get out of my pj's.

I haven't bought as much makeup lately as I have in the past, but I had to get the Colourpop X Kathleenlights Dream St. Palette. I'm SO SO happy with it after the first use. I did two different lip options, because I also picked up the teal lip liner from Nyx to try with the Sugarpill U4EA liquid lipstick. It's a little more green than U4EA, but it should work for now. Also, my kiddos are no longer sick so, hopefully I can return from the trenches.

I did this look while my youngest daughter was passed out in the floor. She's sick and has barely slept in the last three days and, before that, my oldest daughter had a stomach bug. Hopefully soon everyone will be well and I will be able to go back to posting as usual. Anyway, something I've noticed when I need a quick look is that face products on the eyes makes for a quicker eye look. In most cases, bronzers, highlighters, contour powders, etc. are formulated to be more sheer. This makes them much easier to blend quickly on the eyes, and you already have them in hand to use on the face.

I already have the U4EA bullet lipstick from Sugarpill, but I had to get the liquid version when I saw they were releasing them. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing bleeding with both products so I think I may have to figure out a lip liner situation for them. The color is SO stunning though it will be worth it to work with the formula to make it work.
