Recent Empties

Since I stopped making videos for YouTube several months ago, I have missed talking about products. I thought I'd return to my roots in the beauty world and start doing small posts about empties and favorites here and there so that I am still able to share my thoughts on things I use. One good thing about doing this blog style is that it's much harder to ramble =P

So, here are the things I used up in the last couple weeks. I'll start with the Quinoa Sensitive Super Gentle Face Wash from Pacifica. This is the second tube of this product I have used, and I will probably go back to it in the future after I've tried some other things I've had my eye on. It's a very simple cleanser with a very slight, pleasant scent that I love for my second cleanse after makeup removal. It makes me feel like my face is clean without stripping my skin so, I know I can always go back to it if I'm having skin problems or just in general.

The Essence Lash Princess Mascara in False Lash Effect is also something I have purchased at least a couple of times. It gives a similar effect as the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara without the hefty price tag and doesn't fall all over my face while I'm applying it like the Too Faced mascara does. It gives great length and volume and doesn't smudge on me while still being easy to remove. The only fault I've found is that it does get dry and thick before I'm able to use the entire tube and then begins to make my lashes clumpy. However, at that price point(around $5), this is a mascara I can always go pick up at my local Ulta knowing it will give me the results I want.

My last empty for this go around is probably the most inexpensive mascara I have ever purchased, and I am very impressed with it. The Wet N Wild Megalength mascara will run you around $3 at Walmart, and delivers in the length department. It's a great mascara to wear when you're not wearing a lot of eyeliner and also works really well to layer over mascaras like the one I discussed previously, as it separates on top of adding length. The wand makes it easy to apply on the lower lashes, but it can be a little stabby on the upper waterline if you aren't mindful of your application. It doesn't smudge, is easy to remove, and is an amazingly affordable option. I will definitely repurchase.

I hope you found this helpful and that you have an amazing week!

  1. I like the WnW mascara, myself. I haven't tried the Essence one, but I like several other products of theirs...I'll have to add it to my "to try" list! :)
